Thom Yorke “Hearing Damage”
Posted by DJ Balance | Filed under Uncategorized
Yeah, I watched New Moon. And I read the book too. No homo. But the New Moon soundtrack is pretty ill. All original songs too, many written for the movie. Anyways, I’ve been listening to this one in my car for the past week now. I was wrong about Thom Yorke. I was bitter about the direction Radiohead was going, but then I heard a few songs off his solo debut. Now this song comes out.

Chip tha Ripper’s mixtape comes out tomorrow. Heard him on Kid Cudi’s album and was impressed. I can’t wait to hear this, but in the mean time, here’s “Fat Raps” produced by Chuck Inglish (Cool Kids).
Modern Warfare 2 breaking sales records
Posted by DJ Balance | Filed under Uncategorized
Modern Warfare 2 is breaking all kinds of sales records, not only in video games, but compared to films and books. The author of this article compares it to Michael Jackson’s Thriller album. That doesn’t even account for the downloadable content they plan to release for it in the Spring. As I write this, Activision’s stock is up 2%.

iTunes for magazines
Posted by DJ Balance | Filed under Uncategorized
Although I still subscribe to a few magazines, I eventually see them moving into the digital world, especially with this month’s issue of Esquire, where you can access additional content through your web cam and the magazine. I’d like to be able to access a digital copy of a magazine on any mobile device, hopefully with online content like videos.
Also, I’m looking forward to Vevo, the Youtube music video site, which debuts next month.

People Under The Stairs “Trippin At The Disco” video

PUTS always find the fun in hip-hop. This is the first single from Carried Away, their 7th album. Can’t believe they’ve been around for 10 years now. San Francisco Nights is still my favorite song from them.
Slaughterhouse “Microphone” video
Posted by DJ Balance | Filed under Uncategorized
This is my favorite joint from their album.
John Columbo came through with the direction in this video. The idea came about from The Salt Mine studio in Mesa where they have over 250 classic microphones. They are all in the same booth with a microphone maker. Concept is ill, the video is sick.

Suns are the first team in the NBA to reach 10 wins. Great start to a long season. I was wrong about that Channing Frye guy.
