Suns 15-6

We’re a quarter of the way through the season now and the Suns are in 3rd place in the West. They’re just one game behind the Lakers (who are in 1st place) who handed them they’re 6th lost. I hope the Suns can keep up the pace and march straight to the Playoffs this year.

So I’m listening to that new ‘Mega at work and the Prelude comes on (track #1), I’m like “WTF?!?! I used the same sample for one of my beats!!” Great minds think alike because the producer Khrysis uses the same sample from the Bruce Lee flick “Game of Death”. Of course he sped his sample up while I sampled it at its regular tempo. But you listen to both and you see how we are really worlds apart when it came to using the same sample. Just a reminder that sampling IS hip-hop and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Thom Yorke “Hearing Damage”

Yeah, I watched New Moon. And I read the book too. No homo. But the New Moon soundtrack is pretty ill. All original songs too, many written for the movie. Anyways, I’ve been listening to this one in my car for the past week now. I was wrong about Thom Yorke. I was bitter about the direction Radiohead was going, but then I heard a few songs off his solo debut. Now this song comes out.
Chip tha Ripper

Chip tha Ripper’s mixtape comes out tomorrow. Heard him on Kid Cudi’s album and was impressed. I can’t wait to hear this, but in the mean time, here’s “Fat Raps” produced by Chuck Inglish (Cool Kids).
